About the Role

We are seeking a highly capable Quality & Manufacturing Operations Leader with strong expertise in electronics manufacturing, production operations, and quality systems management.

The role requires end-to-end ownership of manufacturing quality, process discipline, production excellence, supplier quality, and operational governance for industrial IoT and electronics products including gateways, sensors, controllers, energy meters, PCB assemblies, and embedded hardware systems.

The ideal candidate should combine strong technical expertise with leadership capability, operational maturity, analytical problem-solving ability, and a process-driven mindset. This role requires close collaboration with Production, SCM, Engineering, Support, and Leadership teams to drive scalable operations, quality excellence, and manufacturing efficiency.

This is a high-ownership operational leadership role suited for someone capable of driving structured execution, continuous improvement, team development, and operational optimization in a fast-scaling technology manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

A. Quality Systems & Operational Governance

  • Lead and strengthen company-wide Quality Management Systems aligned with ISO 9001 / IATF standards.
  • Ensure manufacturing, quality, and operational processes remain audit-ready and operationally disciplined.
  • Drive SOP implementation, process standardization, documentation control, and compliance governance.
  • Lead internal audits, supplier audits, customer audits, and corrective/preventive action closure.

B. Production & Manufacturing Excellence

  • Drive production quality, process control, operational efficiency, and manufacturing excellence initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Production, SCM, and Engineering teams to improve throughput, yield, reliability, and process stability.
  • Monitor manufacturing KPIs, rejection trends, field failure analysis, and operational performance metrics.
  • Support capacity planning, process optimization, and scalable manufacturing practices.

C. Supplier Quality & Cross-functional Coordination

  • Work closely with suppliers to ensure component and process quality compliance.
  • Drive supplier quality improvement initiatives and incoming quality governance.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, SCM, Support, and Production teams for issue resolution and process improvement.
  • Ensure structured RCA, CAPA, FMEA, and continuous improvement practices across operations.

D. Leadership & Operational Excellence

  • Build and mentor quality and manufacturing teams with strong execution discipline and accountability.
  • Drive analytical and optimization-focused initiatives for operational efficiency and quality improvement.
  • Establish structured reporting, operational reviews, and performance governance mechanisms.
  • Promote a culture of ownership, process orientation, quality excellence, and continuous improvement.

Basic Qualifications and Skills Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 6–8+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing, industrial IoT, automotive electronics, embedded systems, or industrial automation environments.
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Electronics manufacturing and PCB assembly processes
    • Industrial IoT products including gateways, sensors, controllers, energy meters, and embedded hardware
    • Quality systems including ISO 9001 / IATF 16949
    • Supplier quality management and manufacturing process controls
    • Production operations, process optimization, and operational governance
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and team-building capability.
  • Strong analytical mindset with operational problem-solving and optimization capability.
  • Strong execution discipline and ability to drive structured operational practices.
  • Good communication and cross-functional coordination capability.
  • Experience in Lean, Six Sigma, RCA, CAPA, 8D, FMEA, and continuous improvement methodologies preferred.

Preferred Candidate Profile

  • Candidates from Pune or willing to relocate to Pune.
  • Marathi communication capability preferred.
  • Prior experience in industrial IoT / electronics product manufacturing ecosystem strongly preferred.
  • Candidates with strong operational maturity, leadership orientation, and manufacturing excellence mindset preferred.
