How to use the calculator

• •The calculator has 3 input steps: Plant Overview → Chiller System → Auxiliary Systems, followed by a Results page.
• •Most fields are mandatory. Optional fields (COP, rated power, pump/fan HP) will auto-estimate from plant capacity if left blank.
• •Climate Type auto-fills condenser water temperatures (ECDWT/LCDWT). You can override them in the Chiller System step.
• •If you know your chiller rated power in kW, enter it — it gives a more accurate baseline than the COP-based estimate.
• •Backup chiller capacity is a subset of total installed capacity. The calculator subtracts it to compute active capacity.
• •Equipment already on VFD automatically receives lower (marginal) savings — no manual adjustment needed.
• •The results show headline savings on screen. For the full report with calculation workings and diagnostics, enter your details to generate a downloadable PDF.
