Tor Chiller Plant Panel
176 points of control and a local HMI in one factory-built panel. It sequences chillers, sets the pumps and towers, and runs Tor Shield Chiller Plant Manager across the whole plant.
What it runs
- Chiller staging and sequencing on actual plant load
- Chilled water supply temperature reset
- Condenser water temperature optimisation, kept within each chiller OEM's recommended limits
- Secondary chilled water and condenser water pump speed control through VFDs
- Live IKW for the whole plant, and kW/TR for each chiller
- Alarms, trends and reports in Tor Shield
Primary pumps stay with the chiller or a separate starter.
What's inside
- Tor Cygnus 901 controller and 4 Cygnus 902 I/O expansion modules
- Local HMI for on-site viewing and operation
- Mean Well 5 V and 24 V DIN-rail power supplies
- Built-in 5 V mini UPS that keeps the controller powered through short outages
- 2-pole 16 A MCB and switched 3-pin service socket
- 10 interposing relays (8× 230 V AC, 2× 24 V DC) on plug-in bases
- Feed-through field terminals
